Meet the Team

LJ Richardson Tire Guys

LJ Richardson

My wife Melissa and I have been married since 1999 and we have 3 children; Taylor, Gannon, & Madden. I enjoy spending time with my family and I love hunting, particularly bow hunting. I tend to find a way to get out any time I can.

I started working in the tire industry at 17 years old, without any idea how tires would become an intricate part of my livelihood. After 16 years working at the nation’s largest independent tire company, I ventured away for a bit. I spent time in the golf apparel business and most recently, traveling the country and working in the non-ferrous foundry world. I was able to take the customer service experience from all my previous jobs and build upon that, creating meaningful relationships every step along the way. After some discussion with the team in Tennessee, I certainly felt the calling to get back into the tire-oriented customer service field.

I’m beyond thrilled to partner with so many amazing people at Freedom Tire Guys, both in AZ and TN. We all have the same goal in mind; To be the very best in the industry.

In 2005, while in high school, I needed a job and found myself working at a tire shop in the Phoenix area. Fast forward and a sixteen-year career later, I was fortunate to have some incredible mentors in my time. I learned many life lessons; learning how to run a successful business was just a bonus. During this time, I saw fellow employees come and go. Which made me appreciate the success that a committed team could accomplish. I was fortunate to lead many of these successful teams over the years. The feeling that we all got, collectively, when we attained the goals we set out to achieve was one that I cherished for everyone.

I believe that Freedom Tire Guys is the future of the tire service industry. At FTG, we understand that our customer’s time is priceless, which is why we put forth the best team possible to provide VIP service during every visit we make. I thrive off of others’ success and love the opportunity to mentor the younger generation of employees. I hope to instill the same work ethic and compassion for others that I learned in my previous sixteen years in the workplace.

I started riding in 2000, and it has been a passion ever since. In my free time, it is guaranteed you’ll find my friends and me riding single-track on our dirt bikes; at a local motocross course. This company has already been a blessing to my wife and me. Two things that are very important to me are family and time, and I look forward to spending time with my bride and family every opportunity I get. God is good!
